One of the owners sons caught wind of us metal detecting the property and convinced Mom we probably shouldn't be?
Anyway, for now Tuesday was our last week there.
It was a slow start not finding anything but trash and iron. We've already covered the entire property a couple times already and have been waiting for a good soaking rain.
The kid started the day with our first good find, 1913 barber dime.
We then moved over to the front yard that we've been staying out of for the most part. This is where our very first finds came from at this property, a 1864 IH and a 36 buffalo.
It wasn't long here and I got a 85-86 hit, flipped a plug and there laid a 40 Washington.
We searched the rest of the front yard not finding anything else. We moved back to where the kid got the barber and I started gridding this section. This use to be an old orchard in the past. It wasn't too long and I dug a 1880 IH, it was in pretty rough shape. I also dug a piece of pewter from an old piece of silverware.
While I was digging the IH and pewter the kid was busy himself finding an old silver ring.
Our only other decent find and our last old copper from here, I dig a toasted Matron head. Only fitting we get one more old copper from here and it's our last find here too.
