Garrett Ace 250
The bug has gotten me bad... again.... BUT this time we did something about it and got an Ace 250! As soon as we got home with the very lightly used unit we started in our yard! Found a couple of clad coins and a few neat items. Took a small break then went to a river bank which gets fished a lot and is covered in "flood" mud which has hardened. Our first find there was found by my wife, a quarter sitting on the surface! Found 76 cents in clad there, a couple of melted cans/sinkers, and a whole sinker!

FUN times! My wife and I truely enjoy it and our kids love to "treasure" hunt!

These are all the finds from our yard! Radio antena, antacid rapper, a melted piece of metal, buckle and broch, 40 cents, nails, etc

The shells were found on a river bank then this belt buckle, 76 cents, beer can/cap, and old oil can cap 10w-20w, and some melted metals!

Had a lot of fun with our firs finds! Thanks for looking!

Congrats on your first finds.......Stay with it and you'll be into the Silver soon!...............................HH

great first hunt. try expanding to some older areas, before you know it you'll be getting some oldies. keep at it.

I still remember my first finds. Part to a lawn mower blade 1976 D Penny, and a monster pull tab. Oh how I was excited. Keep that coil to the soil and soon you'll be pulling gold and silver rings.

Yeah! Today we went to a park and found 69 cents in clad! some old pop/beer tabs, a stainless steel (MADE IN THE USA) kitchen serving spoon, blow dart, a drug needle, bullets in wood, and a Nikon Flash! My wife found the last one... I thought it was a grape gatorade sitting on a tupperware! She thought it was a camera watching us so she approached it! $300 or so on that find!!! woooooooo! We checked craigslist for a lost ad... we might go and give it to the Police as found property. Now i'm going to go get pictures!

The flash works too!

Some older pennies in there 60's/70's the two pieces of wood have rounds in them!

kinda scary thinking about digging up used needles.. bad enough already slicing up hands on broken glass in the plug holes.

Yep, we left that area! Thats the area we found the rounds in the woods too, so we moved on.... ALSO it is the area we found the blow dart which is in the picture. We left the needle, didn't want the kids to get hurt.

Your finds are getting better and better each time y'all venture out. Hope you can find the owner of the Nikon flash. Happy Hunting!!

We put an ad up on craigslist saying we found camera equipment. Its up to them to look it up and say hey I lost this brand model and at this location.

Congrats on the beginning of a fun adventure for your family. Learn your machine well then find some old soil for your coil.

Grasshopper and Michiganne ~ I have a spot I'm going to try and get permission to detect on. It appears it used to be an old twnship hall, school house, or church back in the 30's. Now in the over head there are the outlines of the main building and what I think to be an outhouse. Someone also planted a bunch of evergreens there. I have heard of people getting lots of goodies from old outhouses.... I doubt I'll get the permission to actually DIG it out but at least I can hope to detect there!

Congrats on the finds, you folks are doing great for your first few times out. Blow darts? Blow darts? Dang, never found one of them and not sure I want to. What the heck are folks doing with blow darts? Anyway, congrats again and happy huntin to you and your family.
