Ornate Silver Cap

Hello All. I found this at an old home site that I am guessing dates to the 1920's. It's got a "925/1000 FINE STERLING" indication and a silver mark along with some sort of serial number.

Cap to a fancy liquor decanter lid, perfume bottle cap, cane top, or ??. Thanks for view and please let me know what you know. HH C9

It is a very sweet find ! I think that if it was from a walking stick or cane , we might expect to see a rivet hole on either side , though I
readily admit this is mere speculation on my part . It would be nice to find a way to re- purpose this piece ! (walking stick ? )

I suggested in Today's Finds , that this piece may be from a late Victorian/Edwardian ladies vanity set (lid to a glass perfume or cosmetic jar)
