Found this at an 1800's home site that wasn't supposed to ever have running water or electricity. There are no threads or holes. It is hollow and about 1/16 thick. Ends are smooth, doesn't seem to be cut off of anything. Keep scratching my head on this one. Only thing I can think of is maybe part of a door handle?

Can you post a picture without the pen and on a background without stripes? I am using an app and the pen and stripes on paper throws it off.

White background? I will post another as soon as I get back home.
White should be ok. I may not be able to help but maybe I can. Hey, I can teach you to fish if you want. I use lots of tools. Books, memory, internet, apps. One app I use is google lens app if I have no idea. It can be cumbersome but can be useful. I have identified a few things with it. And sometimes it will get you close enough to search further. Download is free.

They make ornamental round spiral copper and brass tubing.

I have seen that on some fancy pull handles, but seems out of place where this was found. Seemed to be poor from what I've found so far. Haven't found the rumored church site yet. Maybe it was off the church?

I am pretty stumped too. I just read lead was used before copper pipes in the late 1800's to early 1900's.
