I thought we already identified this piece? maybe it was somewhere else. It Looks like a pulley from a hanging lamp set up.

Thought this was a pulley until I realized the river is only flattened on one side. Also the design is a bit showy for something so utilitarian. My buddy found a picture of a Viking amulet that looks a lot like it, but seeing as this was found near an 1800s homesite in PA, I’m guessing that’s not likely. Any ideas on age and use?

Good memory! I posted it in todays finds on the day that I found it and someone said lamp pulley, but with the lack of rivet on the one side, I would think the pulley would come apart under load. Also the hole above the center hole seems interesting.

But your friend didn't show you the Etsy amulet in side view. It has nothing like the same construction as your piece, although the scrollwork decoration has vague stylistic similarities:

Victorian pully would seem much more likely than an amulet. They were often very ornate.
