Just got off the phone with Kellyco and my new M6 will be here next Wednesday.
I can't wait. I've been using my Ace250 for about 8 months now and am ready for an upgrade.
I want to thank Dimeman and Morris for their help and advice in making this choice.
I just went over 1033 coins for the year and 8 rings with the Ace and can't wait to double that before December ends.
Thanks to everyone at TN for their stories, support and encouragement and continuing enjoyment of this great addiction we all share....

Anyone has any tips or quirks with the M6, I would like to hear.

PS. Outraged, Kevin, Where's my shirts?

Rudy,
I hope you will like it like I like mine. Very much. ;D
After getting your M6, you should get a few of all the types of coins you already have found, and some different pulltabs, and use them to get an idea of what numbers to watch for, for the coins, on the target ID screen.
Scan them under the coil and watch what the numbers show. Even though it might have something on the text line, look at the numbers. I have found that the numbers are more precise than the text. In the nickle range it could show ring--pulltab or nickle...sometimes it shows 2 different things on the text line.
Just my opinion, but watching the numbers hunting for coins, works better for me, to showing what item is in the ground.
If you didn't order the 5.3 Eclipse coil, you should get it when you can. It probably will be on your detector 99.8% of the time.

Rudy,

I think you'll find that you made a good choice of machine! Dimeman's suggestion about testing with different targets is definately a good idea! The only advice I can add, is that I usually run with the discrimination set all the way down, and just use the 7 tones to i.d. targets, along with the screen of course.

A smaller coil really helps in cluttererd areas, personally I have the 4 X 6 and love it! It can slice and dice a trashy area like you wouldn't believe!!!

Thanks for the help and advice guys. I'll be sure to do just as you both said.
It'll be here in just three more days, yea.....

Keep safe...

I kept the Ace250,the Vaquero, the CZ5,the Musketeer Advantage, the Exterra 30,and sold my GTI2500 for enough to buy a new M6 with a new Sunray black probe. The probe really looks good on the unit.I haven't taken it out yet because of the wife's setback,so I'm anxious to see how you do with it.I decided on the M6 w/probe after seeing one in action earlier this summer.Goodluck with it.Make me feel like I did the right thing.(2500 was awsome, just too heavy for me).

I am really gonna try, hopefully not too much of a learning curve. I'm ready for deeper and better finds and gonna go to the beach at Surfside next Tuesday to try my hand at beach huntin'..

Thanks
