Opinions on Tesoro Silver U Max

It is a very good detector. Visit Tesoro's web site and read the field test reports. Since Fisher has been bought by the company that owns BH, it's lifetime warranty is in doubt. However not Tesoro's as it is still honored IF anything goes wrong, which hardly ever happens.

I have one and love it, very easy to use, reliable, and consistant. You can't go wrong with Tesoro in my book.

I totally agree with this post.

There's a whole lot more to this hobby than having a machine that detects metal. I've been into this for longer than some folks on here have lived. I've used the best out there and Tesoro is in a class all by itself.

There's a good reason why Tesoro owners tend to be very loyal. ;)

Well I pulled the trigger and the Tesoro Silver is on it's way here...I can't wait to get out there and start searching...

It's a nice, simple and light machine with a lifetime warranty.
I was concerned about not having target ID but, once you get to know the detector it's not such a big deal.
I find I can roughly estimate the depth by raising the coil above the target.
Me/Myself and I, find it easier and more reliable than the ACE 250.
To me the ACE 250 seems to get confused with the target ID.
