I'm a bit surprised no one responded to this post -
Anyways, I called these folks last night and got the response I sort of expected.
I looks like a boiler room operation, the cheap coin is to get you to call and start big time pitching the high end gold coins. They were way over the top trying to get my phone number, so they could telemarket at later dates
I ran in to this game a couple years ago with UCB and still to this day I cant shake the guys from calling all the time. (they run an add in Readres Digest for cheap eagles)
They talked right over my questions about the ad they had in the coin catalog.
I requested a scanned image o0f the actual coins that I was looking to purchase and it never happened
One was a gold escudo for 800 and change
I'm not paying that kind of money until I see at least a scanned image.
Was I wrong to call them to beginn with?
Was I wrong to ask for a scan of the coins I was strongly considering purchasing?
Your opinion good or bad would be very very much appreciated

Generic response not aimed at any one company.

Certainly not an expert, but if a company can't answer my questions about their ad, and can't perform a small and reasonable request, then I simply will not deal with them.

There are too many companies that actually care about getting and retaining customers to waste my time/$ on a company that demonstrates to me that they are too busy to actually provide a service. They should stay busy with their current customers, cause I won't be joining their ranks.......

Find someone who actually wants to do business.

I'm concerned about a bait and switch, Ive run into it before.
It sure seems extremely difficult to find honest , straight forward dealers out there.
It really takes the fun out of collecting when you have to put so much energy into being concerned and doing the research on the company not to mention the research on the coin and its true value

the edina area is a hot spot of over paid,rich, snobs very yuppie.......Some sharpie thinks you will be impressed with his address and pay him 10 time what every he is selling is worth...... run away quick
