Oops! Wasn't expecting that dig!
Hit a previous spot and decided to dig some iffy signals in front of this house. First dig was a nice old pocket knife. Second signal seemed funny but solid. Dug the plug and seen a rusty lid on the edge of my hole. Dug around the edges and seen a glass jar with it. Here we go, I thought. Pulled the jar out and it had a rolled up piece of paper inside. Now I am thinking...Map
No such luck. As I unrolled the paper I was greeted with a dead parakeet. Oops. I rolled it up again, gave it a short ceremony, and put it back where I found it. Didn't want the owner to get upset if it was one of his childhood pets but the bird actually seemed preserved pretty good. Sorry, I didn't feel like taking any pictures of it. Anyway, dug a few relics but only a couple wheats. Please feel free to chime in on the relics if you know what they are. I am wondering if the one decorative item was the top of an old key
