I'm wondering if anyone is finding anything of "great value", and or extremely rare??

I don't mean common silver coins, corroded large cents/etc. with dates you can't see - common gold bands/rings, common tokens/buttons in worn/crusted shape, etc.

I mean stuff with extreme value ($500 or more - single item).

Seems to me that most everything I see posted on this site is generally the "same old same old" so,

I'm making this post for those that may have something they've found this yr or maybe last yr that is above average, and extremely valuable. It would be nice to see some post to encourage the majority that there is the possibility for finding rare and or valuable finds!

Please post if you have something that fits this topic to share with us all!

The most vauable thing I've found was --I was huntin a old miners camp up by Happy Camp Ca.. The site was about 35 miles(forest service road-took me 2 hours) off the road thats 20 miles from town. After making a half a days hunt and finding some cool relics, I headed back to the truck and... the keys that WAS on my belt loop--- were gone!!! After about a 1/2 hour(and some talking to the LORD) I scanned a pile of dirt and right under one of my boot tracks there they were . Musta stepped on them or something-- Anyhoo, I would have LITERALLY DIED up there if I would'nt have found them!! So I guess that was my most "valuable" find..


note: I now keep a spare taped in my tail-light

Well, when I was a kid my Dad said I couldn't find my butt with both hands. When I went into the military service my Training Instructor told me the same thing. Then I got married and this was reinforced by my bride. When my kids were teenagers they told me the same thing, "Old Ignorant can't find his butt with both hands"! Now that I am a senior citizen, I can positively say my greatest find had been my butt with both hands ....with a little help from Bounty Hunter and Garrett. No photos available by popular demand!
