I'm wondering if anyone is finding anything of "great value", and or extremely rare??

I don't mean common silver coins, corroded large cents/etc. with dates you can't see - common gold bands/rings, common tokens/buttons in worn/crusted shape, etc.

I mean stuff with extreme value ($500 or more - single item).

Seems to me that most everything I see posted on this site is generally the "same old same old" so,

I'm making this post for those that may have something they've found this yr or maybe last yr that is above average, and extremely valuable. It would be nice to see some post to encourage the majority that there is the possibility for finding rare and or valuable finds!

Please post if you have something that fits this topic to share with us all!

Thank you, and HH

Come on, someone's gotta be finding something worth BIG money??

I here stories in the news about big finds like Platinum Diamond rings and large Cash Caches. Never anything on here, good luck.

I speak for myself alone, but should I happen upon something valuable enough to draw attention from undesirable places, I wouldn't be posting it all at once, if at all! I would certainly down-play it's value if I did post it! HH omnicognic ;)

;D (sorry had to brag)

Been there done that too!

Best advice I can give anyone (especially a young man is) DON'T EVER GET MARRIED unless you like giving away every thing you've ever worked for in your life (inc. your house, furniture, cars/trucks, snow mobiles, dirt bikes, camper, boat/s, guns, gold, silver, detectors, savings account, etc. etc. etc, and starting over with NOTHING at 35 or 40+ (minus 1/2 your pension too if married for 10 or more yrs).

"KISS MY @$$"! ;D

Divorce is so common these days that Mattel designed a Divorce Barbie the only problem is it cost $10,000 cause it comes with all of Ken's stuff also......................... ::)

Best I have done is three rings in 1 hole in the water along with a toy motorcycle. Went to the local mall Jewelry store to get an ideal on the value. Found the exact Artcarved brand Band there for $250.00. The lady there looked at the 1/4 carat diamond ring and told me it had their jewelers mark meaning it was most likely bought there. It had a price of $299. Did not find the garnet ring but she said a similar one was $99.00. They all three fit my wife and my hobby was secure. She never complaints about me going to the lake or the detectors I buy. ?;D

Here's my 1950's cache: 16 Frankin halfs, 8 Washinton quarters, 26 Roosevelt dimes, and three Mercs. Cuff links, wrist band, and a 14K ring with five dimonds on it. And a 1964 proof set. Wasn't found with a detector, but still found while treasure hunting.
The ring is probually worth the most. Not sure of exactly how much it's worth though. Here's some pictures of the whole cache and then just the coins:

Hey! That Roy Rogers gun made me think. Stop laughing!

I've got a Dick Tracy cap gun from when i was a kid, that i managed to hang onto. I'll have to see what it might be worth. Would never sell it. Just curious.

Anybody happen to know off hand?

It looks kinda like a small 45 cal. and it's silver color.

Nice finds badger,

I may have commented on them before!

I'm not "truly single" anymore though,

I was married 10 yrs (1990 - 2000) got a divorce, stayed single & dating different women for 2.5 yrs until I met the woman I'm with now, and that also now lives with me & has for the last 2 yrs.

She keeps asking when we're going to get married but,

I just laugh, and say

"you don't wanna marry me"!! ;D

I fjound a 2/3 k dimond ring with 10 smaller stones in a 14 k setting. And I know a guy who found a colecream jar in a vacant lot with 24 gold coins in it.

The cap gun usually goes for around 20 bucks.Dick Tracy tin lithographed squad cars are the high sellers for him. They can fetch between 3-500 bucks depending on the condition and model. H.H.
