It’s was a cold, misty, windy morning so if I went. I had positivity runny all through my head for a bucket lister day. Well it didn’t turn out that way. It was hell I couldn’t find a decent signal to save my soul and dug some deep plugs for 5 hours in this mess. Finally got a 1914 wheat and a bullet. It was one of those days that it was mental warfare to keep going. I almost got “broke” like Kathy Griffin.

it's the tough hard days that make the good ones even better and more appreciated but at least you found the wheatie and a pretty old one at that

Bullet looks fired CW. Any day you find one CW relic, it's a good day.

It is deformed, but as long as there are no vertical lines, It would pass in my book as CW.

Clip was funny. I sat behind a desk all day. A bad day metal detecting is better than sitting behind a desk.

I’ve been a loan officer for 16 years I spent 12 years in a cubicle now work out of my office at my house. Life changing since I don’t require much sleep away I’ll work at night drop off my paper to my processor in the morning and go detecting. This hobby changed the way I wanted to work. Lol

Great clip...Kathy describes the pain so well.
my wife is a loan officer thinking of making the switch from office to working from home, seems like everything is going paperless anyway...I sense no regret on your end

highnam it works for me and gave me more of a life. I paid my dues and it helps that my boss is one of best friends from back when we were in the automobile salesmen. We shared a office for 5 years in our 20’s. It is almost all paperless and it helps to have a great processor and A paper. Tell your wife to go for it [emoji1360]

Copper and lead is a good hunt indeed. Not too long ago that bullet alone would have put you over the top. Glad you were able to power through. Spring will be here soon.

Nice finds, next time will be better:icon_thumleft:

main thing is you didn't give up!

You got out and answered the call of the addiction.
A 1914 wheat penny always gets me excited. Try squeezing Lincoln's nose. Maybe a D will appear.
Congratulations on getting out.
