One niggling question I do not have answers for is why some treasure discoveries get world attention and others barely get a mention?
When we thing of treasure of the Pharaohs of Egypt we think of amazing story of Howard Carter and the amazing discovery in 1922 of King Tutankhamun tomb full of treasure that stunned the world.
Yet there was another discovery of a legendary fantastic treasure 17 years later in 1939. That was not one complete Pharaoh's tombs but 3 complete pharaohs tombs and partially another and a generals tombs. With silver and gold beyond your wildest imagination.
Yet never the fame of the King Tutankhamun tomb that sparked Tut mania in the press and popular imagination.
Even today amigo in the National Museum of Egypt fantastic gold and silver artifacts and story of discovery sits as bridesmaid next to the Tutankhamun exhibit.
So in the following posts I am going to show one of the most amazing almost forgotten legendary treasure discoveries in history.
It was collectively known as the treasure of Tanis.
To be continued....
