i received this in the mail a bit ago and have to share it
a huge thank you to tnetter john file for this

and one more huge thanks to all the great members here.....i say a huge thanks to each and every person that has sent me a gift and i feel a bit lacking for not posting every thing as of yet

here is what i believe to be a very nicely made old MacCorkle which dates 6000-10,000 yrs BP
made of a chert type i believe....feel free to correct me if i am wrong on the description.....just gotta share this baby with you all friends.....so lookie here

Nice find larson. Please don't send us any more of your weather. And we will gladly keep your mailbox full! I think Ohio is now in the permafrost zone. That is a really nice spear point.
 

Glad you like my friend..it's the nicest point I've ever found...it's fitting for you to have it! :) I like it especially because it has fluting, and ground base...seemingly a transitional piece from Paleo to early Archaic.
