I hope that the rest of you have been doing better than I have. I went with Smittyman on Saturday morning, we were done by 1:00, as the tailgate of the truck broke, and our equipment was locked in the bed. 80 mile silent ride home...

I got out on Sunday and looked around a bit, I was able to come up with a few things. It's been a month since I found any silver, so that one lone Merc was a sight for sore eyes. Here is what I got:

- Harmonica reed.
- 1954 Wheatie.
- Broken junque broach.
- 1940 Merc.
- 2 modern bullets.
** I get lots of trash and clad, but leave that out of the pics.

I swear I had a good time, even though I didn't find much. Really I did...

YTD silver coins: 10

Thanks for looking, and best of luck to you on your hunts!

Yes, you found you a Mercury...now are you going to cruise it up and down this road? Finding Mercs never gets old, congrats. I like the "Junque" pendant, it may be pretty old! Sub 8-)

Youre doing better than I am, havent had the time to get out yet!

If we had silver on all our trips, it would spoil us and keep us from the excitement of wanting to go..........Ya, RIGHT!!! Nice little Merc !!!!

nice digs tom. Pretty merc.

Hey friend. Hope all is well. You've found more silver than me. Sorry for your short hunting trip.

just saying..now don't get me wrong but i would of gotten in the truck some way some how.
lets see at lets say 15 miles to the gallon at 2.00 a gallon going 160 miles one way.plus the driving time. 4.5 plus hours.. i am thinking around 25 dollars in gas..did you stop for lunch?? plus just having a great time talking about the things you might find.and past finds... anticipation of finding anything other than beaver tails and nails
would make me half nuts..but just getting out having fun on a road trip looking at every old house thinking you would love to hunt there is
PRICELESS!!!!. the ride home might of been a bust?
i've been there and done that..
have you ever gone out and after 20 minutes you realize your batteries are dead...and didn't have any extras.
and your so called hunting friend is digging Indians and Mercs. and doesn't wanna go with you 15 miles to get some..
i have been there..i forgot my shovel once and pinpointer a few times..
i now have a checklist in my junk..aka treasure bag.
anyway happy hunting.
good luck to all.
OWG...

I still love a Merc, one of my favorite coins. You didn't do too bad.
