I hope that the rest of you have been doing better than I have. I went with Smittyman on Saturday morning, we were done by 1:00, as the tailgate of the truck broke, and our equipment was locked in the bed. 80 mile silent ride home...

I got out on Sunday and looked around a bit, I was able to come up with a few things. It's been a month since I found any silver, so that one lone Merc was a sight for sore eyes. Here is what I got:

- Harmonica reed.
- 1954 Wheatie.
- Broken junque broach.
- 1940 Merc.
- 2 modern bullets.
** I get lots of trash and clad, but leave that out of the pics.

I swear I had a good time, even though I didn't find much. Really I did...

YTD silver coins: 10

Thanks for looking, and best of luck to you on your hunts!

Keep digging brother.

Man where do you keep finding these Great places. I bet P@tch was involved in that permission. It kinda looks like one of his minus the dime.

I'll trade ya every single coin I found in the last week for that dime! LOL

Have faith!

A little silver always saves the day, even if it's a lone Merc. There are hot streaks and cold streaks. In the end I bet you'll still end up with your usual 70 to 80 silver coins a year. I remember last year for the first few months I actually had a lead on your as far as silver coins. That didn't last. :laughing7:

Good luck my man.

Nice hunt, a bit of silver and copper! Congratualtions!

Nice to see you post again Tom. I have had a few hunts that I never posted. Where does all the time go? Congrats on the Merc and sorry to hear your hunt was cut short.

Nice finds! Congrats!

Those of us who find just clad, salute you!

Congratz Tom! 10 YTD is not bad, a lot of folks would probably be happy to claim that many. By the end of the year I'm sure I will be jealous of your totals. And always remember, the next swing could be a ______________ (<-- you fill in the blank!) :headbang:

Ok here's the deal. Take that Merc and put it in a dimly lit room with another Merc. Play some Led Zepplin and put a bottle of corn squeezin's in there. You'll have baby mercs in no time...

Nice find

Nice find

I should have been hunting YOUR convenience store, I probably would have gotten more silver coins!
Best of luck to you brother, and I will see you soon!

That's 1 more silver than I have this year :laughing7: It doesn't matter to me if its a spanish reale or a rosie, the edge of a silver coin in the dirt never gets old to me. I have a Victorian house permission that's given up a few silvers and I think its about time I took the Deus over there to beat up on that place some more.

Hey buddy, at least your digging silver! Look forward to you coming down here and teaching us how to dig coins! Hope you're having a great week!

One little merc, the next time you find another little silver. They all add up in my book. A keeper and something to be proud you found. Now go fetch another.

You have probably found more silver than I can say I have found by the end of this year. Don't despair.

Tom that's the best one little merc I've seen in months and months, in need of some serious dig time myself

Great finds!
