Today I tried an older house in town slated for demolition with no luck. The power lines running around it kept messing with my machine so I could not cover it like I would like. Then I decided to head for the base to check out an old day care center that is scheduled for demolition. But that place seemed to be rather thin on coins for some reason. So I headed to another area of the old bull dosed houses in base housing. I worked that for about 5 hours and came up with a silver quarter 1934. I also was surprised to find a silver ring at about 8", But all the stones were gone,(didn't really matter though, I was happy). I really thought I had another silver dollar though, when the machine went off with a high pitched 100 reading. All I saw was a very large dollar size silver looking disk come out of the hole. I then saw it was a token and was still happy. It was a very nice aluminum dinosaur token from 1988. Also found a total of $5 and 6 wheat's. Thanks for looking.

I really like the funny face rings. I have seen a number posted now- your comedian ring, and I have also seen some that are gargoyles with bright red gums.

I keep hoping to get one someday, or maybe even a few.

What sort of coin or other item do those come in comparable to?

plehbah, I don't really recall the type of reading I had on it, but I think it was in the penny/dime range.

Nice job, HH, covering multiple sites in order to make some nice finds.

Congrats,

The ring with the missing stones is a mothers ring with the birthstone of each of her children.
