I got out with my buddy Mike today at an old pre 1840 house. All of our finds were in the front yard. It's hard to imagine that all of this was in the front yard. our first find was the 1877CC Seated quarter that I happened to scrape as it was in the hole with a large nail, drat!! I like the Conestoga bell which was my first one. I've found Crotal bells before but no Conestoga bells. The child's toy meat grinder is really cool and works too. A nice little sterling ring. Kerosene lantern part, you know you are digging history when you find those. A metal cane tip. I don't know what the deal is on the OK sign but I like that. We were only there for 4 and half hours too. Lots of digging in that short of time. One thing that helped me a lot was that this yard wasn't so full of iron scrap so it was much easier for me to pick things out with the Deus. To this day I still have a lot of trouble with lots of iron scrap in the ground. Quite often I have to go to the Sifter program to be able to handle the iron chatter. Beauty seated quarter. One of my most sought after finds.

thanks. i love 'em too. especially CC... we don't see them very often around here in Western New York

WOW
That was a great day!!
Doesn't look like you nicked it too bad, doesn't really matter with it being a environmentally (dug) coin.
Still wish I had dug it...
Congrats on a awesome find.

Congrats on an awesome day of swinging! :occasion14:
Some really nice finds you have there!
Silver always brings a big smile. A child's toy meat grinder? Curious why you think its a child's toy?

Great bunch of finds! I share your joy as this month I also found an 1877CC quarter. So exciting, right? Happy day! May the adrenaline rush last...

What a day!!!! Coins and cool relics!

it's only 2 and a half inches long, not like a real full sized one like my mom used to use.

Congrats on an awesome day of swinging! :occasion14:
