Any guess as to how old this one is ? It looks to hold about a pint.

Is it a stoneware bottle? I'm not sure if they follow the same rules for establishing dates as glass bottles. Assuming they both use the same rules, then the double collar - at least that what it looks like to me - would indicate a date between 1840-1870. You could narrow this down even further if you look for the spot where the seam ends.

I think the bottom word is Glasgow. Govan is a district in Glasgow, Scotland. Still looking.....

Found this little snippet...

Govancroft Potteries, (1911-1982),
Glasgow, Scotland, England, occurs on 1 bottle,
Manufactured beer bottles. The firm is listed as having been formed in 1911 or 1912. They manufactured a wide range of stoneware, but jam jars and whiskey jugs were a specialty. In later years, decorative wares were manufactured. The works were last listed at the 1855 London Road address in 1982. The impression is near the base of the bottle.

Given the shape, I would say early 1910s.

There doesn't appear to be a seam anywhere on the bottle, and it does seem to be stoneware. The top line looks to be GOVANGROET or GOVANCROFT. it looks more like the former. My first thoughts were Scotland also due to the Glasgow inscription.
