OMG is it GOLD??? NO....OH WELL...but its far from home

I have not had any time to Md lately so I got the pass today and went out for about 3 1/2 hours. I went to a new spot I am sure has been hit but what the hay...It was a popular swimming beach in the early part of the century, antway there was a bunch of clad as you can see, 3 more belt buckles, which makes about 15 for the year (2) 40's merc's some wheat's 30's and 40's a tiny deer a whatzit under the coins,(any idea's?) anyway there was a small patch of tree's next to the parking lot just calling my name so I went in, this is where he merc's came from and then I got a strong quarter signal, dug the plug and for about a second I thought OMG its gold. when I cleaned the dirt off I was let down, (1938 2 Franc) so now I am thinking what is that doing here? hey at least I had fun and got to dig..

COngrats on the nice silvers.
I hate when that "fools gold" comes to light and you think it's a gold coin.
Had that happen a few times. Cool find anyway.
