Ok so here are the results:

20130723_173604.jpg

1 - 1964
10 - 1965
35 - 1966
73 - 1967
88 - 1968
76 - 1969
Total = 282 40%, 1 90% or $854 ($3 for 40%, $8 for 90%); 117 1971-1973 clad

When the teller put these on the counter, new wraps, even amount, I thought to myself **** I just bought a dump. Depressed I leave the bank and on my way out I peeked in one of the rolls and thought I saw silver. Got into the car and opened up the rolls (1st picture) to 19/20 rolls having a silver ender. I immediately went back inside and purchased all the quarters they had as I had already purchased all the dimes (both skunks). I asked if they got many halves in (trying to be cool about it), and the teller said not really, they just the one guy came in with a whole bag of them. The teller said she had to go through the trouble of wrapping them all herself. Being the nice guy I am, I left her my phone number and told her to call me next time and I would come down and buy them from her . Anyways the best roll had 18 keepers, "worst" roll had 12 keepers. No coins found post 1973.

Anything worth looking for in the 1971-1973's?

Great day!!
Thanks for reading everyone

Joe

Wow thats a killer score!!

Awesome finds man!!! That's probably the most silver I've seen!

Makes sense that Kennedy Silver halfs are finding their way into the market --- when he was killed I remember there was a great rush to get the halfs when they went into circulation Everyone wanted them , thinking in the heat of the moment that they would have great value in the future ----- I think now almost 50 years later that the ones that were hoarded by parents and grandparents are now seeing the light of day , with their passing .
Although by the 80 silver rush alot made their way to the melter when silver hit $50.00
$50 was a good chunk of money in the 80's

You found about the same amount of 40% kens as I've found in almost seven months of coin roll hunting! That is awesome!!

That's 3 months+ of scores for me in one sitting. Color me envious.

Well done man!

::shivers:: ohhhh, I just had a silver hotflash. super find!! I hope you find a good dealer for the 40%ers. I have 5 and can't find anyone who will take them.

Sincerely, GarouLady
