Today, I said to myself, go on call the owner, you can do it.. so I did.. and low and behold he said YES.. we are talking a historic house here, I have to sign a waiver ( no problem) and I agreed to split all that I find half me half him. I think thats more then fair considering its historic and I will be able to go inside and check out the doors n all for hidden caches.. lordy someone pinch me, I am so dam excited its not funny....

I figure this on this site, one, I am not getting my hopes up.. two, I most likely will have alot of junk to dig thru first to get to the right layer ( you know what I mean) of the mid 1800's as theres been businesses there over the years so at this point, other then going thru the old part of the building and knowing what to look for as far as hiding places goes, I am just gonna take my time doing the outside.. I am going to ask the new owner if he has any maps on the place as my area is not on the sanborn maps at all.. or rather online. I have to go to trenton nj library to see them which is a crock if ya ask me..but I sure would like to know where the privy was and outbuildings were too.. so I will give this my best shot and hope for the best..and have a good time doing it..if I find something old , thats great, if I don't, thats ok too.. am just gonna have a good ole time digging it up.

Hey, BB, be sure to look real close for the old well and cistern. Those can be very dangerous if they weren't filled in or covered over correctly.And don't go out there alone. Again, good luck.
