Hey oneeye, look for the little yellow flower in your camera menu, it stands for macro ( close up picture taking ).....NGE

1842 Seated Dime.. railroad stop/spiritualist camp (Coinstrike)
1859 Seated Half.. one room school site (Coinstrike)
1864 IH.. old home site (don't remember )
1868 2 cent.. lumber camp (1236X2)
1868 Shield nickel. same shcool as seated half (T2)
1882 Morgan dollar.. at Marks fairgrounds (CZ-5)

My oldest 1877 Seated Liberty Dime found in Southern Michigan just a few miles north of the Indiana state line. Man did my 'tectin buddy take that one really well

Oldest US Coin found in michigan is an 1860 Indianhead Penny. Oldest silver is an 1876 seated dime in extra fine. Oldest coin overall is 1787 Connecticut Copper found in Virginia.

I see TomNWMI listed his 1882 Morgan dollar as coming from "Mark's Fairgrounds". If this is really my fairgrounds, do I get the Morgan? LOL.

My oldest and only Half dollar find, also my only Barber 1899-O heres the pic. Hope everyones Michigan diggin is going well, found this near Coldwater. Also pictured my new oldest Silver coin 1875 Seated Quarter
