Today I found a lot of cool items. I am new to this so I am not sure how many silver, clad, gold, etc I found. I did find 99 cents, some kind of piece of eight (which is fake, pretty sure of it, says copy on one side), I think a silver charm, very old bullet shells, several dozen pull tabs and old square nails, and several other items.

The main item, which I can't believe because of the shape it is in and where I found it, is a copper thingie..note sure what it is. I know it is from a company that was around from 1850-1883 and was a pottery company from Hanley England. It is the JW Pankhurst & Company. I am not sure what it is because it is not pottery. So if anyone has any idea please let me know. I have attached images.

OH, I also found a broken Arrow Head next to a penny that was half eroded about 12 inches down on the river bank. This was the coolest thing I have found, only because I have always wanted to find one. Funny thing was, I was thinking as I was walking how it would be cool to find one but how the heck would you find one with a metal detector. I guess the answer is keep your eyes open when you did. lol

This is only my third day of mding and having a blast with my toy detector the BH Tracker IV and BH Elite 2200.

So if anyone knows what it is let me know.

Post this in the What Is It forum they'll be able to help

It looks to me like they were used for hanging something . You need to post more pic's of each side or right side , left side , but it looks like they are bent in a "U" shape and the twisted wires were once one piece , I can't be certain what they hanged but maybe decorative plates seeing you know that they were a pottery
company ... IMHO , Woodstock

The best thing about the BH Tracker IV is that you get a high tone for anything dense, which means you dig all the stuff that you'd otherwise skip with the better discriminators like the Aces and AT Pro. Don't get me wrong, as much as I liked the Tracker IV when it was my only MD I will never take it out in place of the AT Pro under normal circumstances.

Nice I have found a bunch of these at a button dump I like to dig up I think it's some kind of fastner for a wool coat.

Any coins excluding a penny and nickel that is from 1964 and older is 90% silver.
