Got out yesterday. Weather has improved. Usual finds, horseshoes, nails, pieces of chain, bullet shells. Medallion looks like top loop broke off, and a hole was drilled to able to wear. Looks like St Bruno, and Saint something on the other side. Pretty worn. Shells are marked Peters No 12 IDEAL, REM UMC 44 WCF, shell marked C.D.L., I have no idea age or ID. If someone knows, I'd like to know...
Keep on swing and posting, Thanks for looking...

That religious medallion is an awesome find ! I think its really early 19th C. 1810-20 thereabouts .

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft: That religious medallion is neat.

Congratualtions on the interesting finds! :occasion14:

Well done tons oh History on that trail!!!!!!!

I have found info on the C.D.L. bullet cartridge. It was C.D.Leet, 1862 to 1867, Springfield Mass. The C.D.L. headstamp was only used on the .38 to .58 bullets. Pretty rare and was a rimfire cartridge.
