I found this teapot at an Estate Sale in an old box in the basement. It wasn't tagged, and I bought it for $1.00. There are no marks that I can see. The sale was the estate a a person who apparently spent a lot of time traveling to Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Any ideas? Thanks for your help! teapot4.webp1408222_10200708144013766_1988583336_o.webpteapot2.webpteapot3.webpteapot5.webp

Looks like studio art pottery or stoneware pottery from China or Japan? With out identifying marks it's very hard to tell for sure much about the age or region it is from on these kind of things. I would also ask myself if there are no chips, damage, or scratches on the base and still have the original lid with it, what are the odds it made it many years throughout time and still be in that condition??. Best thing I do on these type items is go through current and completed auctions and sales on ebay to see if I find a close match.

The shape looks like it has some Danish / Scandanavian influence to me.
