Old silver, old buckles & old relics.

Had a very good hunt today, found much more then i was expecting to. I researched some old maps hoping to find 2 foundation sites across from one another, theres a 4 mile dirt road to the foundation sites but wound up hunting a different foundation-field site that I happen to stumble on.
The JD Boyd emblem just about gave me heart failure when i wiped it off some and saw the rays (nope, no fugio today) but soon after that skunk deal a very nice signal had me digging this buckle at about 4 inches down dug a lot of iron, a few harmonica reeds, then doing some searching on the edge of the dirt road and out pops this 1853-0 seated dime at about 7 inches down in the mud. a very good hunt for me today, a nice seated dime and a belt plate.

Now that is a sweet, sweet hunt I dug the same exact dime in december! 1853-O with arrows And a sweet plate.. Holy moly way to go

Yeah..on the drive home i really didnt know what to be excited about more, the plate? or the dime? ... this is my 3rd plate (and god how I love digging them)... but its my 1st seated dime. The sites im working is a 50 foundation farm communty, my goal is to find some keepers at each one. There are trails and dirt roads going every which way, a lot of them abandoned for years and years. Without a few seperate maps explaining where the original roads are? one is sure to get lost for days. Some of these sites have seen many many detectors over the years...and the ones off the beaten path have not, hopefuly i can hit them all by the end of the season,
enjoy some pics of my sites, the first 2 are of old bridges that washed out.
