Decided to go out today for a couple hours and it did not disappoint, first 20 minutes and I found my first silver ring! The old shotgun brass is always fun too. Anyone recognize that small bullet? The ring next to it should be a size indicator but if not let me know.

Wow! Nice finds! Congrats and HH! Oh, and no problem.

Cool ring - Can you get us a couple better pics of the stone , and the hallmarks , I can see its made in Mexico , and it looks to
be circa 1950's to my eye - nice find !

Nice ring and bullet.

Thanks for the new pics John , What color is the stone ? I'm not getting a good read on it - I just realized this is your first silver ring
Very nice for numero uno !!!

WOW!! I FOUND A RING JUST LIKE THAT ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO!!! ONXY STONE?

In my opinion your best find of that batch in your picture is the barrel tap which could be Colonial to early-mid 1800's. Have found a couple very much like it on Colonial sites that I hunt. If you could look at your bullet with a magnifying glass you may see very tiny lines in the grooves of your bullet going perpindicular to the grooves themselves, which means modern. Can't tell for sure from your pictures but I'm guessing modern. Can you measure the diameter of the base? If it is a very small bullet then probably just common 22. HH

It's a black stone Argentium, what age do you think it is?.. Post a pic Outcome! Lets see it :)

John , I suspect it's black onyx , and the ring realistically is between the 1950's and the 80's - the other marks may well pin it down
(other than the Mexico /925 marks ) An excellent find , even better that it's your first silver ring find !
