Hello all,
Found this, what I believe to be an, old schrade pocket knife.
It's 2" in length, the loop, and the end are brass... Too bad the blades are waisted...
If anyone has an idea of the age of this,,, I would greatly appreciate the info...

Also a newer Casino Aztar, Evansville, IN. 25 Cent Game Token.
This was on the surface along with about 45 cents in clad? ;D

This particular site keeps yielding some old stuff. There are a lot of old brass pieces, such as, pieces of two old brass oil lamps, made by the Manhattan Brass Co., several other decorative pieces of brass. The long Red thing upper left used to be a tootie toy ( Airplane )

Found these today ( 9/07/04 ) thought I would add them too. The two shinny square peces of alluminum? ( some type of foil ) say " Wright's Fused cut edge rayon ribbon. 8 foot/10 cents". The smaller one says " 9 foot, cut edge, Rayon, has the image of a little girl at the top. I was wondering if any of you could tell me how old any these could be. I would say 10 cents for 8 foot of ribbon hasn't been around in quite sometime. Probab;y before my time...lol

Have yet to find any old coins, but I' am using a Radio shack unit for time being... Hopefully when I get a better detector over the site, I can find out what is really there? ;D

Happy Hunting!!!

Keep it up....You'll find some old coins.? I? live in Evansville where Casino Aztar is located.? Do you live near here?? I'm always looking for someone to detect with.? Maybe we can meet somewhere and go detecting.

Hello Dbeard77, Thanks for the encouragement...
I live here on the west side of Indy. I don't get out of town detecting much. but I would like to start.
Maybe we could do a little research and find a good spot somewhere between here and there. There is a group of 3 to 4 of us who meet on the weekends sometimes to go detecting, it just seems more fun when you have someone to show off your finds to, or to rub it in aliitle, as we put it... ;D

I've never detected around Vinncences,<SPELLCHECK, I here it has somewhat of a history, somewhere around there maybe a good place to start...I heard down along the Ohio River maybe some good spots for some old treasure also...

I'll keep you in mind, and do alittle research, If I ever get down that way, maybe we can get together sometime.
Happy Hunting~

Sounds good to me. I'll go to the library and see if I can find some places to go. I also think there are some guys I work with that live in Vincennes. I'll see if they have any ideas as well. Keep those cool finds coming.

Hey Leon..

I too live on the West side of Indy..actually north west...fairly new to the hobby and am always looking for someone to detect with..

Hello alwayslookin,
Sorry, I haven't had the chance to post lately, or go MD'ing :'(
It will probably be awhile before I get back out, as I am in the proccess of helping a Cuz of mine open a paint & body shop, here in town...
I am fairly new to detecting myself. I am hoping to keep getting out, even through the winter.
There are several other Th'ers here in town, that if you goto one of the local parks, I am sure you will eventually see... All that I have met really seem to be nice people. We have sit & swapped stories for too long sometimes, and didn't get much detecting done,,, But hey, a good time, is a good time...

Hopefully before too long I can get back out there...
I'm sure we could hook up some time...Until then, Happy Hunting~Good Luck!
