It was 1989 or 90. The school, which will remain unnamed, was going through a renovation. These items were found using a very cheap Micronta detector. The age of the building behind the school looked to be Late 16th century or early 17th century. Oh how I wish I had had a better detector at the time.
Anyway, I could use some help identifying the buttons and the coin/pendant. The pendant is definitely gold plated, at least. It is very heavy, but damage indicates it might have some type of zinc compound underneath, which doesn't make sense considering its weight. Maybe lead, but I'm not about to try to bend it to find out. It has Empereur Napolean around the edge. Will post reverse if it will help.
Like I said, the site could easily date to the Revolutionary War.
Also found several ball shots which appear to be around 0.6" diameter.
Though I could post this to "What is this", I do consider these to be some of my best finds.
Peace,
BobJ
