How true to color is the pic?
Looks more like garnet than ruby to my eyes; but 6 prongs...hmm...
Both look to be gold. Markings?
Is that enamelling around the band?
Sure are sweet finds :)
Congrats!

The thicker band says solid gold inside it, but it looks like its flaking off in spots. It was found in an old park that was closed around 1930. The small ladies ring appears to have a garnet stone and is marked 10K and found in a empty lot where the house is gone but was probably built around 1890. Thanks for looking!

My great grandmother's wedding ring which was purchased in 1911 looks a lot like that one and says SOLID GOLD inside. This doesn't mean that it's 24k, so don't get romantic ideas from it. It simply means that it isn't plated or anything. I'm not sure how long the solid gold stamp was in effect, but it was just before the karat ratings were being marked within the bands.

On another note, very nice rings you have there, good job! ;D
