Old pocket watch casing

Watch is gone, casing is left, anyone who is up on such things can tell me the era this is from, an old house site near Manassas Va so it could be civil war to 1900's.

Cool find!!! I found one a couple of years ago and posted a pic of it on here and the serial number found inside the back plate of the watch another Tnet'er looked it up for me and turned out to be from 1895 which really got me stoked since it was one of my oldest finds to date and still is!!!!!

It looks like it could be gold plated, have you checked for any marks or numbers on it?

by looking at the size, id say early 1900's or earlier epic find!
