At 3 o clock on the button top picture, i think that is a snake head with rattle in it`s mouth i think ?

Yes I saw that too in the first pic, but it's not evident in the others.

I do see what looks like the armor of a Spanish conquistador like he's talking about....it's an interesting button. A clearer scan and/or pics and a ruler for size in the pic would help
