This is a combination of last couple hunts...My favorite is the cufflink button..
I was hunting this 1740s house that i have went over a few times..Doesn't seem to hold any old coins, but i have pulled a few relics out..
I will let the pics do the talking..
Any help with some IDs would be great...
Also if anyone has a range of years for the buttons that would be great..
Thanks for looking.
George...Ps..The token is Grover Cleveland..Democrat canidate for president. .

Cool stuff as always but that Masonic piece is something special in my opinion. I'm anxious to hear what the experts think about it. You never have a bad hunt bud.

I love that Masonic cufflink, also that crucifix.
Good work George

No mistaking the compass and square on that cufflink nice find... Nice hunt

Thanks Abe..
I thought it had a 8 in the middle for you..

The two piece button is a NY State Seal Staff Officers button. Whats the backmark...few were civil war era and many others post civil war. There is also a back that is highly contested...dimple/turret shank. The difference is that some are two piece (false three piece) and they are post. Others are true three piece buttons and while many collectors consider them post, a few have come from civil war sites, including (dug be me) from a hut site.

Looks like a lot of good finds. Beautiful crucifix. Is #19 a button too? The little round item with a shank.

I forgot that Grover Cleveland token too, way cool stuff!

That's a good day swinging. Nice coppers and some silver. The mason cuff is the find of the day. Nice patina on it too.

Vino, your masonic cuff link dates from about 1790 to about 1815 give or take a few years. I dug a linked set with that pattern about a month ago. This pattern is also shown in Warren Tice's book "Dating Buttons". Here is a pic of my set and a pic of the page in the book.

They are a great addition to any colonial cuff link collection.
