I found these in a sugar cane field we have been detecting and getting relics as old as late 1700s thru the 1940s. We have dug tom back buttons, numerous CW buttons, three ringers, musket balls and all kinds of coins dating thru out the 1800s. My question is, judging from the picture, whats the likely age of these marbles? If I remember correctly the clay ones are 1800s correct? I was told also that 2 of the blue ones are "Benningtons" and he could tell by the spots where they touched each other?? Please enjoy the pics and any guesses are welcomed :) Shane- The Cane-Field Bandits- South Louisiana

Clay ones are hard to date, but most are early. I'd say that group of marbles ranges from the turn of the century to the 1960s or so.
