Old Iron Blacksmithing? Should I go back?

I found a site that had these in a small area that I found in about 20 minutes. I assume they are nails and stakes? Is it worth to go back and keep looking around that same area?

Are they in fact worth anything, and do they mean something else was probably nearby.

Blacksmiths were called upon to repair and replace all things metal. Keep hitting that area and you will come up with some interesting relics, maybe even coins! Good luck, Sub.

I think the chain and stake has something to do with animals because of the swivel. Either a pickett stake or trap chain and stake. IMO.

I was thinking trap chain and stake. I'd look some more, but I'm easy, rusty stuff intrigues me.
