Old Indian head, CW button, and Misc.

Greetings friends,
I hunted this site where an old farmhouse was torn down a few months ago.
The corn in the field is 9 feet high----Should be a bumper crop.
I found about a half bucket of trash and a handfull of tab tops but I also found a few good targets.

Merf, do you have any idea why you are getting civil war era buttons out of an Illinois field. I was wondering if you had a training camp or an old veterans house place. Nice finds by the way.

Nice digs. I like the toys, and is that a WC Fields eraser? What is the item that looks like a button with the R on it? Very Nice IH and Eagle button. I think someone here once said don't bother hunting farms and farm fields as they almost never have anything. I think they can be some of the best places to go. I know I have found a couple dozen of CW bullets and round balls and buttons to boot. In my last post here I think you will agree we had a similar weekend. I think your IH is much older and better tho. Congrats on the cool finds. HH

Thanks Duggap -----There was a CW training camp about 25 miles east of here.
I think the buttons may have been lost by returning soldiers.

Thanks Sndman Yes the fields are the best hunting if you find the old home sites.
It is W C Fields and the button is just a Riders button I think.
You CW button is in better shape than mine. Congrats to you on the nice finds.

I like the white car. Looks to be intact. Also very sweet to find an IH worth some decent $$$$.

Some other unique stuff - never found a tooth! I'm glad too.

W.C. Field's eraser was from Frito Lay,used to get one in every six pack of chip's when I was a kid.Great stuff as alway's Merf....Never cease to amaze me with those field find's.Congrat's
