Old Guy, New Member in PEI, Canada

Hello everyone. I am a 65 year old new detectorist from Prince Edward Island, Canada. Thanks to the admins for admitting me to the group. I am here to learn as much as I can about the machines, the techniques and the fun in metal detecting.

I have long held an interest in the hobby and in fact did research it some years ago. I just never acted on my interest and spent a fortune on my other passion, astronomy.

I do not have a metal detector or any of the gear as yet and am compiling my need and want list, so I will be doing a lot of reading here.
