old gun toy im sure,how old?

hello i found this little gun at my sisters house ,the two homes are built 1880,s other home maybe early 1900,s she lives on a family ranch ,been same family since then, how old can it be ,the triger works has a safety but hammer still wont move,

That looks like a Mattel belt bucle derringer from the '50s . If it is I have an original belt buckle and belt .

That was the coolest toy. If captured, you just had to push your stomach out and you could shoot another kid unsuspecting. ...or did you have to push a button?

BCH ,
There is a safety on the bottom of the buckel that had to be released and then all you had to do was extend your stomach muscles to release/fire .
One of the neatest toys I ever had . That's why I still have the buckle and belt .
