That looks like a Mattel belt bucle derringer from the '50s . If it is I have an original belt buckle and belt .

There is a safety on the bottom of the buckel that had to be released and then all you had to do was extend your stomach muscles to release/fire .
One of the neatest toys I ever had . That's why I still have the buckle and belt .
