I have a feeling we will never hear from the OP again.....

I am checking daily to see if any one can ID the coin, so far no result.

furthermore i have been searching the web high an low and i could not find any thing that could help me to ID the concerned coin.

the only result that i have found is a similar coin but no info was provided for the same coin.

below is the similar coin :

Maybe it's just a token of some sort.

Funny, I thought we would have an ID by now!

the six point star and scorpion lend me to think Egyptian if it was in africa. The star was supposedly used in ancient egypt before hebrew used? Might be a direction to look in.

During the time of Augustus (27BC-14AD) Roman Provincial no legend coins were minted on Cyprus.
Some of those coins featured a scorpion on one side (with a small star) and another aniimal on the reverse.
But I'm unable to find a scorpion/star on one side and the Star of David on the reverse.
Maybe it isn't a coin; perhaps a fantasy coin. Hopefully, on this thread, it will show up as being a coin.
Don.....

While the original poster has not obligation to share more details about the coin and the story around how he came to possess it but I'm sure a lot of us here would be interested to know more about it.

You might consider contacting Steve Album and see if he can ID it. He specializes in Islamic, Indian, and Oriental coins.

I have a gold colored coin, cast or hammered with the Star of David on one side. A beautiful gold color too, and blank on the other. I researched once and found it to be a crude brass coin from around 1800. I will try to get photos up once I dig it out, I believe I have two of them in my fifty pound bin of pre 1900 world coins.

Here are some similar coins from my collection, I think I have one that is a shinny gold color, but made of brass, but couldn't find it.

Turkey, from around 1800.
