Got out for a afternoon hunt at a local elementary school that has been good to me for many years ! I have found lots of silver at the school but never gold , that changed today :headbang: . Only about 20 minutes into the hunt at the back corner of the soccer field I got a sweet +18 at 6 inches . I was a happy man when I saw beautiful GOLD !It looks to be old and missing a big stone :BangHead: . I looked all around for the stone but no luck . When I got home I tested it and it passed 18K with flying colors ! It almost holds on a 22K acid test , witch makes me think it might be 20K ! It weighs 4.3 grams , not bad ! After that I found a 1946 wheat cent and a 1958 nickel . Then I had a +74 at 2 inches , it turned out to be a Western Cowboy boot :laughing7: . It's in the tumbler right now , when it's clean I'll post a picture  . Last but not least I got a +82 at 7-8 inches , BAM Big silver ring :hello2: . It's the largest silver ring I have found this year  . This brings my ring totals to #63 for the year :icon_thumright: . Total clad for about 2 hours was $6.58 .

Nice rings...I like the yellow one lol!

I'd have to count, but I believe you've found more rings this year then I've found clad quarters. Way to go!

Great rings, I found one similar silver ring it had Turquoise and Coral (red) triangles alternating.

I really like your silver ring, too bad about the gold ring and not being able to find the stone, it was probably a good stone with the purity the ring passed the test at.

Congratulations on the gold ring Glen, it definitely looks to be vintage!

The silver ring with the inlaid stones is a beauty, very well made too!

The tumbler did a great job cleaning up the "Western Cowboy boot"!

Oh what a shame! I bet the stone was a good one to be set in such a high carat gold. Great hunt indeed!

Congrats on the nice rings.

Wow! Awesome finds! What stood out most was the silver and turquoise ring. When my wife and I were dating back in 1971 I bought one each for her and I at some hippie shop in and around Mansfield Ohio. I still have hers and mine is now in your possession. I want it back! Lol HH

Hail to the king of rings! :notworthy: awesome ring finds! Congrats!
Really nice old gold one, looks like it met with something hard, probably how it lost the stone.
Nice silver too, the boot is very detailed and neat looking.

Great finds ! I think the stone might be worth going back and grabbing the dirt under and around where you found that gold
ring - bring it home and sift it ! ( obviously you'll want to bring some replacement soil with you to tidy up the plug area )
