Old Fort Incinerator Ash Pit - Couple of Months' Finds

The fort closed in 1940 so this probably dates from the 20s and 30s. The ammunition is not live. The panel is the 12th one I've put together with stuff I found.

My favorites are things I can connect to a specific person or group of people.

I found a rare backmark on one of the buttons from a company in Baltimore that was founded by the grandfather of a a close friend of mine.
I found a dogtag of a Pvt. William Stanton whose name I also found in a camp Christmas dinner directory that is in a folder at the local historical society.
I found regiment collar disks from several outfits that were being organized at the fort in 1917-18. The historical society has copies of the fort's newspaper from those days and they're full of stories about the guys in those units.
I know a gentleman who was stationed at the fort in 1937-40. He can point to the various clips, buckles, insignia and buttons and tell me what they were and how they were worn.

Just a couple of wheats, mercurys and one indian nickel. I would guess they were in the pockets of the old uniforms when they burned them.
