Old fork 1 WW

Hello,
I found this old Fork at a Fleamarket .In my opinion
it could be from WW 1 . The seal at its back looks like
Red Cross or something with Medicin related.Perhaps a
military hospital ..... well,I don't know

It does have the medical symbol, it is old but I don't think it would be military. Tony

there is really a banner underneath and that is : "Geschützt"
It means "Protected" (Trademark)

Now that I think of it, I can remember seeing that same Geschützt mark on German-made buttons, but for some reason I blanked out on it.

Guess I need another cup!

Some webpage german member means this seal has nothing to do
with medicin ,because of the two serpents instead of only one.
He means it has to do with some "Caduceus" seal.
Estimated age : about 1910 and for civil use only......

Looks like slings on medical insignia, the kind you see babies in. Could it be from maternity ward of hospital? check close for hallmarks. Here is a good site of silver hallmarks ,German, Austrian , ect.

Definitely not military. It looks like a hospital's cutlery. My guess is also around the turn of the century. I've not seen forks with designs on the back portion before this one.

I would think there would be hallmarks if not worn off. The flower or torch looking thing looks like it has letters on it, but hallmarks I think would be on the back. It is strange that caduceus is on the back . What is that mark right above caduceus ? kinda looks like a circle with F in it.
