FYI: I'm still a newbie at this and just got my 1st detector after borrowing BH Platinum for a few weeks.

Found this AF Meisselbach #582 fishing reel (1922-1930) near a vernal waterway on my property. Pretty cool find for me because I've been getting familiar with the Equinox 600 in my old farmland property and this was another find that I could CLEARLY tell was 'something'. Discriminating targets from iron sure takes practice!

Hot rock came in at a solid 2. Any ideas? It streaks black.

The other definable recent 'somethings' have been a grommet, a few clad coins, and a 30" x 1" solid iron/steel? bar, an 8"x12" sheet lead flashing, and what I suspect is an aluminum hinge. Now I'm trying to determine when to keep digging when I hear a slight high ping and I still haven't found anything after 8" of digging.

Questions:
1. The lead sheeting and aluminum came in at 26-32. Is this because of the size of the object?

2. Does anyone have an equinox chart that lists all VDIs-even the junk. It would help a newbie like me.
3. Anyone know what the iron bar could have been for? Could it have been a property marker (1950's land division) that I just removed?
