I have Been working an Old homestead for the last month..I never relized how big 160 Acres is until I start detecting and feel like I get nowhere on the land..its really nice with hills and a river thru the middle, then the rest just flatlands
I decided to stick near the river where i found a front end to a 1909 Model T. So i started hitting up the river banks and saw this old Grease Can poking out of the dirt..it was in decent shape considering..about 5 feet away i saw the Rim of the Sugar Can..I started to Relized that this must have been the trash dump ..i was happy considerign i just walked down there to see if it was worth detecting..then i got a strange reading of Silver Dollar on my Ace..so i dug...and dug....then was about to give up..then saw something at the bottom of the whole..where i dug out this piece of Steel..sorta hoping for more..but i kept it..its odd because it weighs about 10 pounds..and i have no idea what it is..It has the number 46 stamped on the back..with a square key hole on the top.i thought it might have been a piece to a door or something.but that was just a guess..So i headed back up from the river and poked around before i left and found another WWII Button And another odd piece of steel..i thought it was a curtain rod holder..Its just a little heavy and awkward for that..
thanks for looking
