That's one fancy letter opener. So I guess the pigs in Texas get mail from home. LOL Cool letter opener. Oro, great call.

Thanks you guys! ;D ;) (gush :-[ blush) Not that often I get one right first! I still think it is a very neat thing to find and would not turn my nose up at $25 either!

I have to admit, my father-in-law had a collection of old letter openers, several were in the form of daggers and swords which is what made me think it might be a letter opener, but only if it were NOT iron or steel. I am not an expert on them, just lucky this time.

Heck finding that in the dirt would sure make me want to go back over that spot - if you think about it, how on earth did a rather valuable letter opener end up in the soil? What else might be in the dirt, if that ended up there? ???
