The small one on the left is a Roman Mark Anthoney, one of the Galley issues, Eagle between standards on reverse...should be a Silver Denarius :icon_thumleft:

Welcome to Treasure Net :hello:

Unfortunately I think you will have to research modern fakes.
I'm no expert but that was my immediate reaction too when I looked at the pictures. Complete with artificial patina to show off the details better.
Don't see how anyone can say there fakes, just look like poor pictures. :dontknow:

Yes is nice to get the ID on what these represent. :icon_thumright:

Where and when did you obtain them? The color on all 7 look to be identical as if they all came in the same set. ...unless its the camera.

:hello:

It is very important to remember that the vast majority of ancient coins in the market today are genuine. Many genuine ancient coins have been condemned by people not qualified to do so.
Remember that most fakes copy genuine types, so the fact a fake of a type exists does not mean all examples of that type are suspect. Too many genuine coins have been dismissed as a fake because they are "similar" to a known fake that is based on them.
A proper authentication requires a physical examination of the coin. To become an expert will require many years of experience, and you will have to handle many thousands of both known genuine, and known fake coins.
Your pictures seem to have a lot of Camera flash on them, this why people are guessing they are fake, some better pictures might help. :icon_thumleft:

I agree.
I also believe that fake or not, many would like to know the ID of the coin NWS; and I enjoy the learning that goes with doing the research and reading the comments of others. So to quickly accept a novice's opinion that the coin is fake is, perhaps, eliminating the learning opportunity others might enjoy.

Whether you want to accept it or not it doesn't change that these are 1000% fake. Put a quarter in your hand and look down, are you sure it's a quarter? Well that's how sure I am these are fake. I see them for sale all the time (even got some mixed with something else I bought) and they are easy to pick out.

I'd bet everything I own against $10.

Tnet is about novices opinions. My opinion is exactly the same as IP. If you want to spend your time IDing what these are copying, you are welcome to do so. In the same way that I'm welcome to make a judgement call.

'Anyone have any idea as to what these are' - the orginators question has been answered. Maybe ask him/her if they want you to ID these copies?

When did you become a expert on ancient coins :icon_scratch: I have emailed several Coin Experts, and none said they would judge a coin from a picture. They would have to see it in the hand.
