I think if you look at the coin very close, you can make out the name on it

Very Cool the head looks a little different on the top one. Akin Miller is the name on this coin. Another picture to give you a Idea on the size of it.

Wonder if research could be done to find the unit or company the soldier was in? Would be interesting.

Looks like an 8 reale! You really should research that name...this could be a very valuable find!

What an amazing coin and terrific subsequent research done by Neil. That's totally awesome. Wonder why the indentations on the rim? This is a glorious find, IMO. WTG.
 

On the pillar side it looks like "Akin Miller Money". Looks like just "Miller" on the heads side. Someone photoshop this thing!
