You've got a George III large cent or half cent from England. The redcoats spent these during the American Revolution and they continued as legal currency until early 1857. Regards, SS
I thought it was a half pence, but the date appears to read 1773. In colonial history books it says it could be a Machin Mills Copper token, because of the date. But I am wondering is it an imitation coin used in colonial times or an original Coin of the British? Any thoughts on this?
I think you have definately got a UK penny of King George 3rd. If it is smaller that the one I have included in this post, it is a half penny. Well done.

Dino.
