🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Old clothing iron or something else?

I flipped this out of the ground and said another old flat iron, broken.
Then I cleaned it a little and saw what appears to be electrical terminals on top with the letters THIS BOLT. I looked up first electrical irons but then saw terminals on bottom after further cleaning. Then back to I don’t know what it is or is it missing a bottom that may have held the heating element?

I don't see anything that makes me think it's a clothes iron.

Truthfully, I'm clueless. :dontknow:

I put this mock-up together, mainly to confirm my suspicion that the hole in the center was a "key hole" slot rather than simply a bolt hole. I still don't know what it is, but I suspect it is railroad related.

Might be something off an old farm implement of some kind.
May be since it was dug in the woods of an old farm in the foothills.
